Increase Your Vertical Jump
Regardless of your intention to become a professional sportsman or simply improve your athletic ability, you will find that increase your vertical leap is a valuable asset. If you really think about it, increasing vertical jump can be your single most important ability in any sports at all. You will do well in your vertical quest if you do a warm up thoroughly beforehand. Keep in mind that proper stretching is important to a good vertical leap. One of the things you could do is go for a jog or some other cardiovascular exercises to get yourself ready. Stationary cycling is another good way to prepare for training. Although warm up is important, you must not exhaust yourself in the warm up.
There are quite a few exercises you can improve your vertical jump, and one of them are toe raises. You probably do it once in a while yourself, only you need to do it rapidly. Stay flat on your feet and extend your body upward. Retract, and repeat extending your body upward. Doing it repetitively and rapidly will improve your feets reflexes and jumping ability.
Knee bend is another excellent exercise you should do. Keep your back straight and putting the weight on your back while maintaining balance. Do it slowly and your knees should feel sore. A repetition of 15-20 times should be enough for beginners, rest, and work on it again. As you progress on your exercise, you should also increase the number of repetitions.
Understanding your own progress should be part of your training. Determine your improvement according to the effort you put into and you shall know whether you are progressing at a satisfactory rate. Tracking your progress can also be motivational when you see yourself improving bit by bit.
Take some time and make sure that you really get the most out of your vertical jump training. This is something that can go a long way towards giving you the results that you need in the game, and in terms of strengthening your body, so see where your training can take you. Ideally, you will train at least a little every day, though you should remember that if you are doing intense training that you should intersperse them with days of rest on a one to one basis.
