You finally asked and now you have that first date coming up. Don’t spend all your time rejoicing just yet. You need to prepare for the actual day of the date. Getting ready is very important. But you’re not sure how to get ready. Well, here are several dating tips to ease you into it.

You have a picture in mind of what this first date should be like, follow these dating tips and your picture will be fulfilled.

* Schedule this date for sometime soon. If you set it too far down the road, you might just allow stress and impatience to overcome you from the waiting. You are pumped that you actually have a date planned but as the time goes by you can get impatient.

* Choose a less formal venue for the first date, it would not be too comfortable if you choose a place where you would feel stuffy. Better have in mind a venue that is less formal but more fun. The too much formality thing may just stop you from getting to know each other well.

* You want to schedule this first date for a late lunch or early dinner in order to provide for lots of time to get to know one another. Just because the sun is still shining bright doesn’t mean that romance can’t be found. save the evening dates for next time.

* Think more of the person not the place. Pressures about the venue, the food to order and the clothes you would wear. These are just secondary and they do not have to post so much pressure on you. If you allow this to happen, you would surely get carried away with the pressures and forget the real purpose of the date.

* Just because you have chosen a casual atmosphere for your date rather than a formal one, doesn’t mean that you should look unkempt or dirty. Informal and clean means presentable.

* If you have nice possessions or are wealthy, this is not the time to be bragging about them. A little bit of humility may lead to future dates, boasting can turn off the karma quickly. Control the conversation with topics of mutual interest and lightness.
