Has Harv Eker Got Something To Teach Us?
Harv Eker has been talked about a lot lately, so you might be wondering who he is and where all this press came from. When I first ran into mentions of him, I wasn’t sure why people thought so much about him. After all, he’s just another person.
Eker is actually the perfect example of the American Dream. He spent his younger years in Canada, the child of European immigrants, then moved to the U.S. He worked a lot of odd jobs and struggled to make ends meet, just like most of us.
That struggle is what gave Eker the inspiration to start up as an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, he didn’t succeed, and it took him a long time and many failed investments to figure out what he’d been doing wrong. He started thinking about how we react to money and how we treat it, and what that means in relation to our chances for success.
What he found out, and what really surprised me is that our success is actually determined by internal factors, not luck or anything outside of us. We all have our own financial blueprints, developed by exposure to our friends and family, media messages and current events. Depending on what those blueprints say, we make good or bad choices about money and every other aspect of our lives.
The good news is that no one is stuck with a bad financial blueprint unless they don’t want to put in the effort to change it. I’ll be honest with you – changing your attitudes toward money is hard and it isn’t comfortable. In fact, if you’re not willing to go through the process and give up your pride, you should probably avoid what Harv Eker has to say.
However, anyone with the determination and willingness to change how they think and react towards money and success can do it. Eker tells us all about his findings in Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, his book about success, and in his programs to help people achieve their dreams. Read his works or check out one of this amazing workshops and you’ll change the way you think, setting yourself to succeed.
There are plenty of things we can all learn from Harv Eker, including the fact that we have to stop acting from envy and fear. Start working from a position of contentment and happiness, and you’ll be able to seize what life has to offer. Unless you really believe in success, you can’t possibly get there.
Harv Eker’s training company and books can offer us a lot, but I’m not going to blame you if you’re not sure. I’m hard to convince, too. That’s why you need to look at at everything Eker has to say, and at what he can do for all of us, and make your own decision about where your life will go.
