Cubanc cigars come in different sizes
Cuban cigars come in various shapes and sizes. Most people think about Cuban cigars as one standard five to six inch cigar but they come in all kinds of sizes. Yes the majority is in a cylinder shape but they range in thickness and length. The thickness is the ring gauge size and the length is pretty self explanatory.
So what is the best sized Cuban cigar? Well it really depends on you the Cuban cigar enthusiast. Some people like the long size, some people like the short Robusto size (Which is also very popular by the way) and some like the super short Cuban cigars. It all depends on what kind of cigar you enjoy. Many people have different reasons.
I like long Cuban cigars and short Cuban cigars. They both do it for me. However, I’ll tell you how I select the sizes sometimes. For me, it all depends on the time I have these days. If I have lots of time and over sixty five minutes or so, I will open up a box of Cohiba Esplendios and take it easy for that moment. If I have a business meeting, than I’ll grab a Cohiba Siglo and go from there.
So besides the length, one other major thing that separates Cuban cigars is the thickness of the cigar. Everyone here has their own pick and sometimes it’s not the length that matters, but the actual ring gauge. The ring gauge is the term used to describe the thickness of each Cuban cigar. In fact, their is a whole rating system behind it.
Personally, I prefer the Robusto size but I came up to this decision after trying out different Cuban cigars. So my suggestion is try each of them out. Hold them in your hands and see which offers the best draw for you. If it works, stick with it and than work you way into trying out different Cuban cigar models that offer the same size.
